How Focusing On The Present Moment Can Help Decrease Anxiety

Re: The Technique Of Focusing On The Present Moment That Many Very Successful Athletes Use To Help Decrease Anxiety

It may also be helpful to, when you are doing Intentional Deep Breathing, focus on nothing but how good it feels to breathe like this and not think about anything but how good this feels – not about anything one second in the Past or Future.

If you do this, you can take a break from the Anxiety, Anger, and/or Fear you may be feeling because Anger has to do with something that happened in the Past, and Fear and Anxiety have to do with fear of something that may happen in the Future.

Focusing only on the Present Moment may seem difficult at first because we are not used to doing this. You will find you can build your ability to do this, one second at a time, like building a mental muscle, and that this can be very helpful in helping to decrease Anxiety.
