Healthy Vegan Organic Food You Can Often Get At Whole Foods and Trader Joe's

Whole Foods:

Water station with Reverse-osmosis filtered water with electrolytes added back in where you can fill your own stainless steel jug; State of American Tap Water

organic red grapefruit (Vitamin C), organic steel-cut oats (vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, zinc), organic buckwheat groats (Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B9, magnesium, rutin, quercetin, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, complete protein) organic ground chia seeds (Omega-3, calcium, vitamins B1, B2, B3), organic hemp seeds and organic hemp seed butter (Vitamin E, Omega-3, magnesium, and Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B9, zinc, complete protein), organic frozen blackberries, organic frozen cherries (when the frozen fruit thaws you can pour the juice in the oats along with the fruit), organic bananas (potassium, Vitamin B6), organic light-roast peanut butter (Vitamin B3) in a glass jar, organic sweet potatoes (beta-carotene, potassium, and Vitamin B5), organic zucchini, organic yellow squash (and organic Acorn, Delicato, Butternut, and Curry squash in the Fall --Zeaxanthin), organic chic pea miso (vitamin K2), organic sauerkraut (vitamin K2), Redmond's Real Salt;

organic Romaine lettuce (B9 folate), organic arugula (sulforaphane), organic high-oleic cold-pressed sunflower oil (Vitamin E) in glass bottle, organic apple cider vinegar in glass bottle, organic red wine vinegar in glass bottle, organic sun-dried tomatoes in extra-virgin olive oil in glass bottle, organic American cucumbers, organic broccoli sprouts (sulforaphane), organic hemp seeds (omega-3), organic roasted seaweed (Iodine) made with extra-virgin olive oil or high-oleic sunflower oil (vitamine E), organic oranges (vitamin C), organic tofu (high amount of complete protein);

Bionature Organic Marinara sauce (lycopene) made with organic extra-virgin olive oil and no sugar added in glass jar (made with fresh tomatoes that were not canned first (acidic tomatoes in plastic-lined cans cause chemicals to leach out from the plastic into the tomatoes, even if the chemicals are other than BPA.   Most other marinara brands in glass jars did use tomato paste in cans to make what is now in the glass jar, and most restaurants use canned tomato paste in the pasta sauce they make, if they make it themselves (even in Italy), so it's very nice to be able to get this Bionature Organic Marinara sauce that says it never uses any canned tomato products, and that uses organic extra-virgin olive oil (many other brands use olive oil that has had much of the healthy polyphenols refined out of it to cause it to have a longer shelf-life).

Bionature Organic Fusilli pasta made with filered water (All pasta is made with water, but since the water is evaporated in the process --leaving behind things in the water-- the law does not require it to be listed as an ingredient.   It is reasonable to conclude that if filtered water is what they used, they would list it in their ingredients like Bionature does).

Bionature also makes Organic Fusilli Sourdough pasta, which may be right next to their other pasta at Whole Foods.   Unless you know you like sourdough pasta (it is Sour), be sure to get their pasta that does not say sourdough on it.

Whole Foods often also has organic frozen sliced multi-colored bell peppers (zeaxanthin), organic frozen broccoli florettes (Calcium, Vitamin C), organic frozen French-Style green beans, organic eggplant, organic grapes;

organic baby-cut carrots, organic purple cabbage, organic sweet potatoes, organic white potatoes, sometimes organic blue or purple potatoes, organic asparagus, organic spices, organic oranges, organic watermelon (in July an August), organic Fuji apples (sometimes), organic dried lentils, chick peas, and white beans (calcium and B9 folate)

Trader Joe's:

organic steel-cut oats (vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, zinc), organic hemp seeds (omega-3, Vitamin E, Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B9, zinc, complete protein), frozen organic blueberries, organic bananas (potassium, Vitamin B6) organic chopped bagged Romaine lettuce (B9 folate, Vitamin K1), organic bagged baby arugula (sulforaphane), organic English or Persian cucumbers, organic apple cider vinegar, organic red wine vinegar, organic guacamole (Vitamin B3), organic sprouted tofu (high amount of complete protein), organic baby-cut carrots, organic sweet potatoes, organic Russet potatoes, sometimes organic blue or purple potatoes, organic sweet potatoes, organic frozen riced cauliflower, organic frozen green peas, organic frozen yellow corn, organic sweet potatoes, organic extra-virgin olive oil in glass bottle, organic spices, organic Medjool fresh dates, organic Fuji apples (sometimes), organic grapes (sometimes)

These two stores combined will enable you to make healthier, more nutritionally dense, meals than any restaurant will ever serve you, and much less expensively.   While many restaurants say they "value" organic food and "use it whenever possible," they also usually say that they can't guarantee 100% organic food there, due to "possible supply issues," and will resist stating which of their options are not organic at any time, these two markets don't seem to have a problem having a continous supply of these organic things at relatively very inexpensive prices (get Whole Foods own 365-Brand for the least expensive options).

It is good to remain aware that "organic and vegan" does not necessarily mean "healthy" -- i.e., vegan organic cupcakes and things that are deep-fried, such as chips and donuts, are not "healthy."

Both of these stores also have plenty of food that is not so healthy for anyone you may be bringing with you who is not vegan and/or does not want to eat only the healthiest of foods.

There is also a Walmart Super Center nearby where you may be able to get organic oranges when there may not be any available at either Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.   They may also have some other organic fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables there.

There is often a Walmart Super Center near Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.   You can sometimes get sprouted pumpkin seeds and organic oranges there when you can't find these at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.

Things none of these stores have that you need to order online, if you want them:
